RESUMO

The research of plant seeds has always been a focus of agricultural and forestry research, and seed identification is an indispensable part of it. With the continuous application of artificial intelligence technology in the field of agriculture, seed identification through computer vision can effectively promote the development of agricultural and forestry wisdom. Data is the foundation of computer vision, but there is a lack of suitable datasets in the agricultural field. In this paper, a seed dataset named LZUPSD is established. A device based on mobile phones and macro lenses was established to acquire images. The dataset contains 4496 images of 88 different seeds. This dataset can not only be used as data for training deep learning models in the computer field, but also provide important data support for agricultural and forestry research. As an important resource in this field, this dataset plays a positive role in modernizing agriculture and forestry.

RESUMO

Pathogens and pests pose significant threats to global crop productivity and plant immunity, necessitating urgent measures from researchers to prevent pathogen contamination and pest damage to crops. A natural plant-based antibacterial agent, eugenol (EUG), has demonstrated excellent antimicrobial and insect repellent capabilities, but the characteristics of volatilization and poor dissolution limit the practical application. The nanoization of pesticide formulations holds promise in the development of highly effective pesticides for antibacterial and insecticidal purposes. Herein, a eugenol-loaded nano delivery system (EUG@CMC-PGMA-CS) was synthesized using glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) as a functional monomer to connect carrier core structure carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) with shell structure chitosan (CS), and EUG was encapsulated within the carrier. EUG@CMC-PGMA-CS demonstrated excellent leaf affinity, with minimum contact angles (CAs) of 37.83 and 70.52° on hydrophilic and hydrophobic vegetable leaf surfaces, respectively. Moreover, the maximum liquid holding capacity (LHC) of EUG@CMC-PGMA-CS on both hydrophilic and hydrophobic vegetable leaf surfaces demonstrates a noteworthy 55.24% enhancement compared to the LHC of pure EUG. The in vitro release curve of EUG@CMC-PGMA-CS exhibited an initial burst followed by stable sustained release. It is with satisfaction that the nano delivery system demonstrated exceptional antibacterial properties against S. aureus and satisfactory insecticidal efficacy against Spodoptera litura. The development of this eugenol-loaded nano delivery system holds significant potential for enhanced antibacterial and insect repellents in agriculture, paving the way for the application of volatile bioactive substances.

RESUMO

More than 20 million tons of ladle furnace slag are produced annually. This slag is mainly treated by stockpiling; however, stacking results in dust and heavy metal pollution. Utilizing this slag as a resource can reduce primary resource consumption and eliminate pollution. In this review, existing studies and practices related to slag are discussed, and applications for different slag types are analyzed. The findings reveal that under alkali- or gypsum-activated conditions, CaO-SiO2-MgO, CaO-Al2O3-MgO, and CaO-SiO2-Al2O3-MgO slags may act as a low-strength binder, a garnet- or ettringite-based binder, and a high-strength cementitious material, respectively. Partial replacement of cement with CaO-Al2O3-MgO or CaO-SiO2-Al2O3-MgO slag can adjust the settling time. Meanwhile, CaO-SiO2-Al2O3-FeO-MgO slag combined with fly ash can be used to prepare a high-strength geopolymer, and CaO-Al2O3-MgO and CaO-SiO2-MgO slags may yield high carbon dioxide sequestration percentages. However, the aforementioned applications could lead to secondary pollution because these slags contain heavy metals and sulfur. Removing them or suppressing their dissolution is therefore of significant interest. Reusing hot slag in a ladle furnace could be an efficient utilization strategy because it can recover heat energy while utilizing the components of the hot slag. However, adopting this approach necessitates the further development of an efficient method for removing sulfur from hot slag. Overall, this review elucidates the relationship between the utilization method and slag type and identifies future research directions, thereby providing references and guidance for future research on slag utilization.

RESUMO

An unprecedented method of nickel-catalyzed dual C(sp2)-H amination of N-quinolylbenzamides with benzohydroxamic acids is developed to access triarylamines in one pot. For the first time, broad-spectrum hydroxylamine is employed as an amino source for C-H amination, featuring good chemo-selectivity and functional group tolerance. Furthermore, the catalytic system could be further extended to N-(pivaloyloxy)benzamide, dioxazolone, isocyanate and aniline for C-H amination.

RESUMO

Organic ultralong room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP) materials have attracted great attention for their wide applications in optoelectronic devices and bioimaging. However, the development of these materials remains a challenging task, partially due to the lack of rational molecular design strategies and unclear luminescence mechanisms. Herein, we present a method for facile access to structurally diverse substituted 1-aminoisoquinoline derivatives through a copper-catalyzed one-pot three-component coupling reaction that provides a promising approach to rapidly assemble a library of 1-aminoisoquinolines for exploring the regularity of the host-guest doped system. A series of host-guest RTP materials with wide-ranging lifetimes from 4.4 to 299.3 ms were constructed by doping various substituted isoquinolines derivatives into benzophenone (BP). Furthermore, 4 r/BP nanoparticles could be used for in-vivo imaging with a signal-to-noise ratio value as high as 32, revealing the potential of the isoquinoline framework for the construction of high-performance RTP materials.

RESUMO

Tracking liver polarity with noninvasive and dynamic imaging techniques is helpful to better understand the non-alcoholic fatty liver (NAFL). Herein, a novel near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent probe Cy-Mp is constructed using a "symmetry collapse" strategy. The structure modification leads to the conversion of locally excited state fluorescence to charge transfer state fluorescence. Cy-Mp emits at near-infrared (NIR) wavelengths with high photostability as well as a large Stokes shift. Cy-Mp exhibits a ratiometric response to polarity, providing more accurate analysis of intracellular polarity via the built-in internal reference correction. Most importantly, the in vivo studies indicate that Cy-Mp can accumulate in the liver and the decreased polarity in the liver of mice with NAFL is verified by the ratiometric imaging, implying the great potential of Cy-Mp in the diagnosis of NAFL.

RESUMO

We herein report an unprecedented pathway to access γ-lactams using acetonitrile analogues as coupling partners without oxidants, ligands, and Lewis acids. The reaction undergoes Rh-catalyzed C(sp2)-H addition to carbon-bound nitriles with the aid of an amide traceless auxiliary followed by an annulation sequence, featuring a broad substrate scope, good functional group tolerance, and excellent chemo/stereoselectivity. Scale-up reactions and late-stage derivatizations highlight the potential synthetic utility of this methodology. A plausible mechanism is proposed based on mechanistic investigations.

RESUMO

We herein report an efficient approach for the assembly of multiply substituted imidazoles and oxazoles in a single-step manner. These transformations are based on a decarboxylation addition and annulation of readily accessible aromatic carboxylic acids and aliphatic nitriles and exhibit good functional group compatibility and a high step economy. The reaction is scalable, and as-prepared products could be transformed into practical skeletons. Importantly, the late-stage derivatization of Momelotinib highlights the potential utility of this methodology.

RESUMO

An efficient and straightforward protocol for the assembly of the pharmaceutically and biologically valuable oxazole skeleton is achieved for the first time from readily available simple arenes and functionalized aliphatic nitriles. This transformation involves palladium-catalyzed C-H activation, carbopalladation and a tandem annulation sequence in one pot. Notably, the reaction proceeds efficiently under redox-neutral conditions, and exhibits high atom-economy. Deuterium-labeling experiments suggested that C-H bond cleavage of the simple arenes might be the rate-determining step.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: Ultrasound-guided core biopsy (UGCB) for supraclavicular lymph nodes (SLNs) represents an attractive procedure to obtain tissues for lung cancer confirmation. The aim of the present study is to evaluate the performance of UGCB driven by FDG-avid SLNs, as performed by nuclear medicine physicians, in patients with suspected lung cancer. METHODS: Institutional database in our hospital was searched for eligible patients between September 2019 and March 2021. A 3-12 MHz linear probe was used to guide the biopsy process and to ensure that the needle tip was being directed at the metabolically active area that had been indicated by side-by-side PET/CT images. Diagnostic yield, malignancy rate, molecular testing results, and complications were reviewed. RESULTS: Among the 54 patients included in this study, definite pathological diagnosis from UGCB specimens was achieved in 53 patients, reaching a diagnostic yield of 98.1% (53/54) and a malignancy rate of 96.2% (51/53). Among the 50 patients confirmed as lung cancer, thirty-eight were spared from further invasive procedures which had been planned. Molecular analyses were adequately performed on all the 38 specimens obtained from non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLS). The positive rate was 36.8% (14/38) for epidermal growth receptor (EGFR) mutation and 31.6% (12/38) for anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) translocation. 28.9% (11/38) of the patients had a tumor proportion score (TPS) ≥ 50% for PD-L1 expression. No complication was observed and the average biopsy time was 15 min. CONCLUSIONS: Nuclear medicine physicians-performed UGCB driven by FDG-avid SLNs in suspected lung cancer patients could produce a high performance in terms of diagnostic yield, malignancy rate, and molecular analysis, which may obliviate more invasive interventional procedures and lead to fast decisions on subsequent management.

RESUMO

A three-component reaction from readily available low-cost materials of benzoic acids, formaldehyde, and malonates for the preparation of indanones by rhodium catalysis is reported. The annulation is initiated by an ortho-hydroarylation of benzoic acids, and a Lewis acid is not required. The solvent has a significant influence to the reaction, and 2-substituted or nonsubstituted indanones are obtained by the change of solvent.

RESUMO

The oxidative cross-coupling between the α-C(sp3)-H bond of amide in DMAc and the inert ortho-C(sp2)-H bond of benzamides is achieved for the first time by nickel catalysis, with the assistance of 8-aminoquinolyl group in the presence of a silver oxidant. Notably, the selectivity of conversion can be perfectly controlled by modulating the oxidant additives, and the products from the coupling of the C(sp3)-H bond adjacent to nitrogen of amides with benzamides are approached through the use of peroxide.

RESUMO

This study is aimed to clarify the potential role of lncRNA LINC00899 in invasion and migration of spinal ependymoma cells through the FoxO pathway via RBL2. Spinal ependymoma related chip data (GSE50161 and GSE66354) was initially downloaded and differentially expressed lncRNAs were screened out. Fifty-eight cases of spinal ependymoma and normal ependymal tissues were collected. The effects of LINC00899 and RBL2 on the spinal ependymoma cell migration and invasion were determined using the third generation spinal ependymoma cells and transfection with LINC00899 vector, siRNA-LINC00899 and siRNA-RBL2. The expression of LINC00899, pathway and cell proliferation- and apoptosis-related factors was determined. Finally, we also detected cell proliferation, migration, invasion, cycle and apoptosis after transfection. Our results showed that LINC00899 was up-regulated in spinal ependymoma and RBL2 was confirmed as a target gene of LINC00899 and found to be involved in regulation of FoxO pathway. LINC00899 expression increased in spinal ependymoma tissues whereas RBL2 expression decreased. Moreover, we found that siRNA-LINC00899 could elevate RBL2, p21, p27 and Bax levels, decrease FoxO, Bcl-2, Vimentin, Annexin levels, reduced cell proliferation, migration and invasion and enhanced apoptosis. Taken together, our study suggests that down-regulated LINC00899 exerts anti-oncogenic effects on spinal ependymoma via RBL2-dependent FoxO, which provides a novel therapeutic target for the treatment of spinal ependymomas.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Long noncoding small nucleolar RNA host gene 16 (SNHG16) has been shown to play an oncogenic role in multiple cancers. However, the biological roles and mechanism of SNHG16 action in the regulation of papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) remains unknown. The aims of this study were to investigate the roles and the possible mechanism of SNHG16 in PTC progression. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The expression of SNHG16 PTC tissues and cell lines was detected by reverse-transcription quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR). The effect of SNHG16 on cell proliferation, apoptosis, migration, and invasion was detected by Cell Counting Kit-8, flow cytometry, wound-healing assay, and Matrigel invasion assay, respectively. In addition, the regulatory relationships between SNHG16 and miR-497 were explored by luciferase reporter assay and qRT-PCR. RESULTS: The SNHG16 expression was upregulated in PTC tissues and cell lines, whose expression was positively associated with advanced TNM stage and lymph node metastasis. Function analysis demonstrated that depletion of SNHG16 in PTC cells significantly inhibited cell proliferation, induced cell apoptosis, and suppressed cell migration and invasion abilities. Mechanistic studies indicated that SNHG16 functioned as an endogenous sponge for miR-497 to regulate its target genes brain-derived neurotrophic factor and yes-associated protein 1 expression. Furthermore, the inhibition of miR-497 antagonized the suppressive effect of SNHG16-depleted cells on cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. CONCLUSION: These findings revealed that SNHG16 drived the PTC progression possibly via regulating miR-497, suggesting that SNHG16 might be a novel therapeutic agent for PTC.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Our study was designed to compare the diagnostic efficacies of integrated 99mTc-HYNIC-PEG4-E[PEG4-c(RGDfK)]2 (99mTc-3PRGD2) single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) images and computed tomography (CT) images in lymph node metastasis in the patients with esophageal cancer. METHODS: From September 2015 and May 2018, 32 patients with histologically proven primary esophageal carcinoma underwent both 99mTc-3PRGD2 SPECT and CT scans followed by esophagectomy with lymph node dissection. The results of reviewing 99mTc-3PRGD2 SPECT and CT images for the lymph node metastasis were compared in relation with pathologic findings. RESULTS: During surgery, a total of 168 lymph nodes were dissected in 32 patients, of which 42 node groups in 18 patients were malignant on histologic examination. Preoperative nodal staging was compared with postoperative histopathological staging, The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value of 99mTc-3PRGD2 SPECT for lymph nodes were 80.95%, 86.51%, 85.12%, 66.67%, and 93.16% on per-node basis, respectively; compared with 59.52%, 73.02%, 69.64%, 42.37%, and 84.40% for CT (p = 0.034, 0.008, 0.005, 0.011, and 0.038, respectively). 70.59% (12/17) false-negative interpretations and 50% (17/34) false-positive interpretations on CT were corrected by 99mTc-3PRGD2 SPECT. 37.5% false-negative interpretations on 99mTc-3PRGD2 SPECT were corrected by CT. 11.90% (5/42) positive lymph nodes and 13.49% (17/126) negative nodes at pathology were incorrectly diagnosed both by 99mTc-3PRGD2 SPECT and CT. The accuracy of 99mTc-3PRGD2 SPECT (87.50%, 28/32) was significantly higher than that of CT (62.50, 20/32; p = 0.022) on per-patient basis. 99mTc-3PRGD2 SPECT showed significantly higher sensitivity and accuracy in the neck and upper thoracic regions than CT. For nodal staging, 99mTc-3PRGD2 SPECT was correct in 78.12% (25/32) of the patients, whereas CT was correct in 53.12% (17/32), p = 0.037. CONCLUSION: 99mTc-3PRGD2 SPECT is more accurate than CT for preoperative assessment of lymph node metastasis in esophageal cancer and may be helpful in determining the therapeutic plan.

RESUMO

A mild and efficient protocol for the synthesis of 2,2'-difunctional biaryls from readily available benzamides and oximes by Co(OAc)2·4H2O catalysis has been developed. The catalytic cycle that includes aerobic oxidation of Co(I) to Co(III) is successfully achieved for the first time through dual-chelation-assisted C-H/C-H coupling with the assistance of catalytic Mn(acac)3. The catalytic system exhibits powerful reactivity and tolerates a large number of sensitive functional groups.

RESUMO

Nanoparticles have been widely tested as drug delivery carriers or imaging agents, largely because of their ability to selectively accumulate in tumors through the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect. However, studies show that many tumors afford a less efficient EPR effect and that many nanoparticles are trapped in the perivascular region after extravasation and barely migrate into tumor centers. This is to a large degree attributed to the dense tumor extracellular matrix (ECM), which functions as a physical barrier to prevent efficient nanoparticle extravasation and diffusion. In this study, we report a photodynamic therapy (PDT) approach to enhance tumor uptake of nanoparticles. Briefly, we encapsulate ZnF16Pc, a photosensitizer, into ferritin nanocages, and then conjugate to the surface of the ferritin a single chain viable fragment (scFv) sequence specific to fibroblast activation protein (FAP). FAP is a plasma surface protein widely upregulated in cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), which is a major source of the ECM fiber components. We found that the scFv-conjugated and ZnF16Pc-loaded ferritin nanoparticles (scFv-Z@FRT) can mediate efficient and selective PDT, leading to eradication of CAFs in tumors. When tested in bilateral 4T1 tumor models, we found that the tumor accumulation of serum albumin (BSA), 10 nm quantum dots (QDs), and 50 nm QDs was increased by 2-, 3.5-, and 18-fold after scFv-Z@FRT mediated PDT. Our studies suggest a novel and safe method to enhance the delivery of nanoparticles to tumors.

RESUMO

The first example of oxidant-free cobalt-catalyzed synthesis of five-membered spirocycles is reported from benzimidates and maleimides utilizing nitrobenzene as promoter. In contrast to previously known cobalt-catalyzed oxidative C-H functionalization reactions, this transformation occurs efficiently in the absence of oxidant and is accompanied by liberation of hydrogen. The spiro-lactams were readily achieved by the hydrolysis of as-prepared spirocyclic compounds. The Cp*Rh(III) catalyst shows poor reactivity.
